## About BlueDot Impact
We're a non-profit here to ensure humanity safely navigates the transition to transformative AI.
We do this by designing and running courses on AI safety - finding people who could have enormous impact, and enabling them to achieve it. Our AI safety courses are the main pathway by which people go from "interested in AI safety" to "working in AI safety."
Since 2022, we've trained ~5,000 people across technical AI safety, AI policy, and biosecurity. Around 1,000 graduates now work in high-impact jobs at organisations including Anthropic, the UK AI Safety Institute, and Google DeepMind.
In 2025, we plan to bring AI Safety education to millions, place 1,000 people in high-impact roles, and raise $30M to expand our impact.
## How you’ll help humanity
You will **directly shape how the field addresses talent bottlenecks in AI Safety**. What you do to achieve this is up to you, but will likely include:
- Identifying critical field talent gaps by:
- building relationships with hiring managers at key organizations to understand their needs
- working with funders to figure out what they want to fund, but can't find the talent for
- thinking hard about field strategy, working with experts across the AI safety ecosystem
- Designing high-quality educational experiences by:
- translating field requirements into concrete learning objectives
- applying science of learning and instructional design principles
- finding, developing or commissioning the best resources in the field
- Ensure these experiences run smoothly by:
- ruthlessly prioritising what's most important for learner experience
- being able to effectively execute or delegate operational tasks
- hiring and managing new staff and contractors to help you
- Continuously improve the above process in a data-driven way, ideally primarily based on graduate outcomes and impact on the world
**We don't expect candidates to have experience with all the above.** Strong candidates will likely have bring strengths in one or more areas, and enthusiasm for learning about the others on the job.

**End-to-end ownership:** From initial concept through to final execution, you'll own educational initiatives that directly address field bottlenecks. We'll empower you with the autonomy to do this: giving you authority to spend £1M+ to achieve the mission.

We're keen to pay to access the best consultants, and invest time getting BlueDot staff the best mentors and advisors.
**A high-agency culture:** A core team value is to always _find the fastest, best way to do everything_. This means a team that will support you to growing your skills, find creative solutions, and suggest how they can help you make things happen - not argue they can't.
## About you
You might be a great fit if you:
- Adapt quickly to new environments, with a self-driven and curious mindset
- Are capable of generating and executing on many ideas for meeting user needs
- Have experience in program management, education design, field strategy, talent placement, product development, grantmaking, content creation, or operations
- Have previously lead projects to completion: whether at work or as a personal side projects
- Understand core AI safety concepts, and believe AI safety is one of the world's most pressing problems

## Location and compensation
**Location:**
- Hybrid in London, UK (strongly preferred); or
- Remote, anywhere in the world
**Compensation:** £60k-100k/year. You'll likely be hired as a permanent full-time employee.
**Benefits:** 10% employer pension contribution, £5k/year professional development allowance, private healthcare, £5k/year mental wellbeing allowance, £100k/year health care supplement.
