The Role

As the Senior Program Associate (Sr.PA), you will play a key role in supporting the nationwide rollout of activities under the Health and Nutrition pillar (IFA and NDD). Reporting to the National Program Manager, you will collaborate with the Delhi-based team to oversee all aspects of program implementation, including strategic planning, operations, capacity building, IEC, community mobilization, and program and financial management. You will also lead documentation and reporting for internal program management and travel to states to support and review programs, spending about 20% of your time on-site.

You will work closely with the Delhi office team and state teams to ensure seamless coordination and effective execution of program objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist National Program Manager in the development and/or adaptation and dissemination of deworming and related materials- for advocacy, trainings, awareness, monitoring and others as required at the state and national level as appropriate.
  • Assist with policy and advocacy efforts targeting key stakeholders (national/ state level)
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of quarterly and annual work plans and operational plans for national program activities.
  • Monitor program activities and expenditures in alignment with approved work plans and budgets.
  • Coordinate with the program team at the Delhi office to track progress and performance of state program activities as per approved work plans, milestones and program strategy.
  • Support program team in effective integration of deworming intervention in the annual work plans and Program Implementation Plans (PIPs) of state health missions.
  • Collaborate with the Delhi program team to consolidate recommendations for advocacy with state governments on IFA and NDD (Approved in RoP) budgets and work plans.
  • Consolidate and prepare quarterly and annual donor reports and related documentation for review.
  • Develop documents, briefs, and presentations adhering to organizational guidelines for internal and external use.
  • Assist in ensuring quality technical assistance to national and state governments.
  • Undertake other duties as necessary as and when assigned by the National Program Manager.

 

  • Post graduate degree in social sciences, public health, health management, or related disciplines
  • 4-6 years of experience with international organizations/national and/or state level governments for public health sector related assignments
  • Proven experience supporting and collaborating with teams at national and state levels
  • Comprehensive knowledge of public health systems and familiarity with school- and anganwadi-based health programs (e.g., maternal/child health preferred)
  • Passionate about social programs, with a strong desire to make an impact and contribute to a young, diverse team
  • Exceptional program management skills and strict adherence to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills in English and Hindi
  • Proficient in MS Office with excellent documentation and data management skills
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work across diverse, multicultural teams

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with the individual's credentials, experience, and previous pay scale.
