About the MLE - Delivery Team

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis Support (Under Associate Guidance)
    Support the Associate in cleaning, preparing, and analyzing administrative and monitoring data, learning proper data handling techniques and analytical workflows.
    Assist the Associate in conducting routine data quality checks, learning to identify inconsistencies, missing data, and potential errors.
    Generate summary tables, charts, and data outputs under the Associate's direction to support program implementation and reporting needs.
    Learn to identify basic patterns and trends in data, documenting observations for the Associate's review and feedback.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Support
    Assist the Associate with the testing and refinement of survey instruments and data collection tools, gaining exposure to M&E design processes.
    Support the tracking and computation of key program indicators under the Associate's supervision.
    Help document analytical processes, assumptions, and methodologies used in routine analyses, learning Evidence Action's documentation standards.
    Maintain a service-oriented mindset by supporting the Associate in responding to data requests from program teams.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting
    Support the Associate in developing and updating dashboards, charts, and visual summaries using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
    Assist in preparing data inputs for reports, presentations, memos, and learning products as directed by the Associate.
    Learn data storytelling techniques from the Associate, contributing to the translation of analytical outputs into clear, accessible visuals and narratives.
  • Data Management and Documentation
    Support the Associate in maintaining proper organization and version control of datasets, analysis files, and outputs on approved platforms (e.g., Box).
    Assist in documenting data management procedures, data cleaning steps, and lessons learned under the Associate's guidance.
    Learn and adhere to established data management and analysis protocols, seeking clarification from the Associate when needed.
  • Mentorship and Professional Development
    Participate in regular one-on-one mentorship sessions with the Associate to discuss progress, challenges, and learning goals.
    Actively learn and apply new analytical tools, methods, and approaches as taught by the Associate and relevant to Evidence Action's work.
    Participate in team learning sessions, reviews, and feedback discussions facilitated by the Associate or broader MLE team.
    Demonstrate curiosity and initiative in understanding program contexts and how data informs operational decisions.
    Proactively seek feedback from the Associate on work quality and professional development opportunities.

  • Completed a Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, data science, public health, or another quantitative or analytical field.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis concepts, including descriptive statistics and data cleaning.
  • Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and visualization.
  • Strong attention to detail and genuine interest in working with data.
