About the role

Under the supervision of the Project Director, and in close coordination with the Technical Specialist and Sr. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer, the NPO will support implementation and management of the project. This role involves coordinating with Nutrition International (NI) staff and partner agencies for day-to-day operations, providing technical support for capacity-building, monitoring and knowledge management activities and documentation.. In this role you will :

·        Facilitate the planning and management of implementing partner activities across all three states, with enhanced coordination and support for Maharashtra.

·        Support the National Team and State Program Representatives (SPRs) in partnership management, including providing inputs for orientation and training programs for project staff recruited by partner agencies.

·        Liaise, as required, with state government departments, local organizations, and other key stakeholders in coordination with the SPRs and Project Director. Support states in planning and organizing key events such as government meetings, expert group consultations, master trainers’ training, and other program-related activities.

·        Adapt technical strategies to program and geographic contexts and ensure the required government approvals and consensus in consultation with NI state teams.

·        Contribute to the effective implementation and adherence of service delivery design by providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations based on observations from implementation sites.

·        Provide inputs to Senior MEAL Officer for project monitoring and ensure information is used for fine tuning of project activities and strategies in consultation with Project Director.

·        Work with Program Assistant, Finance Officer and Senior Program Finance Officer to ensure that the contracts database is regularly updated for the project.

About you

You will have a Master’s degree in nutrition, public health, international development, management, and/or a related field with at least 5 years of work experience in international NGOs, UN agencies or similar agencies in program planning and management for nutrition, public health, and/or reproductive health-related programs.

You will come with a demonstrated experience in coordinating effectively across multiple stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, external partners, and senior leadership, to align objectives, streamline communication, and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Your experience in working with the government and familiarity with government health information systems will be considered a strong asset.

Fluency in Hindi and English (Reading, Writing & Oratory Skills) is a prerequisite. Understanding of Marathi is an added advantage
