We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and autonomous Senior Account Manager to join the 4YFN Sales team during a very dynamic growth period for the business. The role will primarily focus on selling to startups and SME’s/SMB´s in the digital technology field.
This role offers an opportunity for the individual to work within a larger organisation and experienced sales team, leveraging the GSMA assets, brand and member base whilst also being part of a smaller team allowing flexibility and autonomy. About the Team
The international sales team based in Barcelona has grown to include six highly skilled sales professionals and manages a portfolio of over 200 clients from around the world, from AWS to the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), as well as early-stage startups looking to participate in a global trade show for the first time.
About the Role
You are required to have around five years sales experience and to have a demonstrable passion for startups and the tech startup ecosystem.
You will be responsible for:
Acquiring new key account business leads and account management of Key Accounts and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Identifying and evaluate new business verticals that can be tapped into to achieve sustainable growth in revenue for the event
Assisting the 4YFN Sales Director with planning, budgeting and forecasting reporting and presentations where required
Act as a liaison with marketing to ensure sales collateral is delivered and updated in a timely fashion in support of sales goals
Creating a planned methodology for obtaining new business sales from both outbound leads as well as inbound or marketing-generated sales leads
Providing weekly updates to the sales pipeline, tracking of metrics underpinning the sales funnel and sharing customer feedback on product performance/quality
Troubleshooting any client issue in a proactive manner liaising with marketing, operations, customer service and finance where necessary
To achieve success in the role, the candidate will hit or exceed the agreed sales target for the event within the event deadline.
About You
You are passionate about growing the business and exceeding expectations.
You must want to understand and fully engage with your market, have a passion for sales and the startup ecosystem and be able to collaborate with all departments to generate deals not only for 4YFN but for all GSMA’s platforms in a consultative approach.
We are looking for a great communicator with commercial insight and a positive attitude able to engage with other departments and propose change. You should be fluent in English and Spanish languages. You will be an advanced user of lead generation processes and CRM systems.
We are expecting someone to excel in both account management and new business development and who can share best practice with colleagues in the team and inspire them to improve their own skills.
