Scope of the Role:
Reporting to Project Coordinator to ensure the quality of program implementation, accountability, donor compliances and reporting in line with the Missions East country strategies, vision, mission and values and/or as per donor required standards.
Participating in field assessments from a safeguarding perspective, data collection, and providing support to targeted stakeholders, including direct project beneficiaries, in the capacity of an Agriculture and EWS Technical Trainer.
Community Mobilization:
- Conduct community meetings to raise awareness about project goals, activities, and benefits.
- Build trust and rapport with local communities, leaders, and farmers.
- Encourage participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in agricultural activities. Conduct training sessions and demonstrations on improved agricultural practices (e.g., crop management, soil health, pest control, irrigation, etc.).
Safeguarding:
- Support the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures throughout project activities.
- Monitor Cash for Work activities to ensure the safety, dignity, and protection of beneficiaries, especially women, children, elderly people, and persons with disabilities.
- Conduct awareness sessions on safeguarding, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), and code of conduct.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Collect, document, and follow up safeguarding-related complaints and feedback confidentially and professionally.
- Monitor Cash for Work activities to ensure compliance with safeguarding, protection, and inclusion standards.

Participate in monitoring visits, assessments, and post-distribution monitoring activities from a safeguarding perspective.
Networking/Coordination and Others:
- Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, donor focal point, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation and foster strong partnerships.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with district authorities, CDC members/elders/Arbabs village maintenance council, and community representatives.
- Represent Mission East at clusters, district and community meetings and discussion in coordination with PM.
Miscellaneous
- Comply with MEED policies and practices, especially with respect to PSEA, child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, and equality.

Education to degree level.
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, social science Law, Psychology, Education, Human Rights, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 2 years progressively responsible work experience in the area with international humanitarian organizations. UN funded program will be advantage.
