Nurani Perdamaian Indonesia (NPID) is a humanitarian organization established on March 01, 2023. With legality certification by the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights through AHU Number -0003058.AH.01.07.TAHUN 2023. Our organization is affiliated with the Nonviolent Peaceforce organization and operates as a branch representative of the Nonviolent Peaceforce for Indonesia. Nonviolence Peaceforce (NP) is a nonpartisan international organization globally recognized for its Unarmed Civilian Protection (UCP) strategies in preventing violence, increasing the safety and security of civilians, and strengthening local peace infrastructures across its programme locations.


OVERVIEW


NP is an implementing organization of the ongoing peace process between the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Philippine government. Our mandate for implementing the peace process includes monitoring and reporting individuals’ concerns about safety, protective accompaniment for civilians and organizations in areas of conflict, including NP team members accompanying hostage survivors to reunite with their families. NP monitors whether conflicting parties are abiding by ceasefire agreements and verifies and reports compliance and noncompliance. NP creates safe spaces for peaceful dialogue among different stakeholders in the country, including local institutions, to support community-based conflict prevention and resolution, and trainse local leaders and organizations in UCP methodologies for monitoring, unarmed peacekeeping, and civilian protection.

To broaden the appreciation and acceptance of Unarmed Civilian Protection (UCP) in the country, NP is working to increase awareness, engagement, and participation by building support at the local, regional, and national levels.


JOB SUMMARY


Under the supervision and guidance of the Program Coordinator, the Program Officer Consultant will support the effective and timely implementation of program activities. This consultancy role includes assisting with the planning and coordination of field activities, maintaining accurate, well-organized program documentation, supporting stakeholder engagement and logistical arrangements, and ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and donor requirements.


The Consultant will also provide day-to-day programmatic and administrative support to ensure smooth operations and contribute to achieving program objectives. As a consultant, the role is expected to deliver outputs in line with agreed timelines and quality standards, ensuring accountability and consistent support to the program team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


General Tasks

  • Conduct implementation of program activities in line with work plans and donor requirements
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, workshops, and field activities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of program activities (attendance lists, reports, minutes, photos).
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in program delivery, and propose practical mitigation measures.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with local government agencies, community leaders, CSOs, and other stakeholders to ensure relevance and sustainability of program activities.

  • Facilitate regular coordination meetings, ensuring alignment of field activities with program objectives.
  • Coordinate with MEL, Finance, and other program units to ensure integrated and compliant program delivery.
  • Coordinate and report to the Program Coordinator to ensure implementation of program activities in line with donor requirements
  • Provide inputs for case studies, lessons learned, and success stories that reflect program achievements.
  • Collect and compile data from field activities for activity report purposes.
  • Support the preparation of activity reports and contribute to donor reporting requirements.
  • Assist in developing knowledge products, including case studies, lessons learned, and success stories that reflect program outcomes and impact.


QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES


  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, or other relevant fields.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Moderate understanding of project cycle management and monitoring & evaluation.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt in donor-funded project environments.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with stakeholders
  • Languages:
    • English: Not mandatory, an added advantage


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in peacebuilding, rehabilitation and reintegration, social cohesion, or PVE/CT programs.
  • Experience in developing capacity-building initiatives and facilitating training/workshops.
  • Familiarity with international donor frameworks.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

DURATION


The consultancy engagement will be for a fixed period of ten (10) months, commencing on 4 May 2026 and concluding on 4 February 2027. Any extension beyond this period shall be subject to mutual agreement and the organization’s operational needs.


DUTY STATION & WORKING ARRANGEMENT


This position will support program implementation primarily in the Jabodetabek area and will adopt a hybrid working arrangement, combining in-office presence and remote work as needed. Candidates who are currently based in or willing to be based in the Jabodetabek area are strongly preferred. Please note that accommodation and relocation support will not be provided during the contract period.


FEE AND PAYMENT TERMS


  • The Consultant shall receive a monthly professional fee of IDR 7,000,000, which is inclusive of all applicable costs and expenses, including but not limited to taxes, transportation, communication, and logistics.
  • Payments will be processed on a monthly basis, upon submission and approval of a duly accomplished timesheet and any required supporting documentation.
