The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?
You will join the Communications team within Corporate Affairs, reporting to the Content Lead. The team is responsible for helping Wellcome communicate its mission, priorities and impact to global audiences through compelling content, strategic storytelling and effective use of digital channels.
The role sits at the heart of Wellcome's digital communications activity, working closely with colleagues across Communications, Policy and Partnerships, Product, and Digital Marketing. You will help ensure that Wellcome's website, social media channels and paid digital activity work together to engage audiences, strengthen our reputation and support our strategic priorities.
What will I be doing?
As a Digital Channels Manager, you will:
Lead the development and delivery of Wellcome's social media channel strategies, ensuring each channel has a clear audience, purpose and content approach.
Oversee Wellcome's external digital channels, ensuring content is timely, accessible, accurate and aligned with organisational priorities.
Lead the planning, creation, commissioning and editing of digital content across the website and social platforms.
Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver effective paid digital content and campaigns.
Use analytics, social listening and audience insights to optimise performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Lead website content planning and governance, working with internal teams and external partners to deliver improvements and enhancements.
Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced digital communications professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will have strong experience managing digital channels within a large and complex organisation and be confident developing content strategies that engage audiences across multiple platforms.
You'll be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, translating complex scientific, policy or organisational topics into clear and engaging digital content. You'll also have experience using performance data and insights to continually improve digital activity and inform decision-making.

Minimum criteria
Experience managing digital channels for a large, complex organisation.
Proven track record developing and delivering social media strategies across multiple platforms.
Experience leading website content projects, including content audits and working with product and development teams to deliver website enhancements.
Experience using analytics and audience insights to measure performance and inform content strategy.
Experience managing agencies, freelancers or external partners while balancing multiple priorities.
