The Team
Our Global Health division harnesses advances in science and technology to save lives in low-resource settings. We focus on health challenges that have a major impact in developing countries but often receive too little attention and funding. When effective tools exist, we support sustainable ways to improve their delivery; when they don’t, we invest in the research and development of new interventions such as vaccines, drugs, biologics, and diagnostics. Our work targets infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, neglected tropical diseases, enteric and diarrheal diseases, and pneumonia. These efforts are supported by cross-cutting teams specializing in Discovery & Translational Sciences, Vaccine Development & Surveillance, Integrated Development (IDev), and Innovation Introduction. The Integrated Development (IDev) team comprises four core domains: Regulatory Affairs, Decision, Analyze, Communicate (DAC), Global Health Integrated Development Expertise (GHIDE), and Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC). IDev plays a critical role in advancing the development of global health products by providing specialized expertise and support to Program Strategy Teams across the Global Health division. IDev ensures that our product development investments are guided by robust data, regulatory insight, and operational excellence.
