Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and experienced Digital Creative skilled in both social media video editing and graphic design to join our team for a 6 month full-time contract, starting May 2025. You will have a keen eye for detail and be adept at creating both static and video content across a variety of platforms, and you will have a strong understanding of social media best practices.
You’ll be part of our fast-paced, highly motivated in-house Storytelling team and will work closely with teams across the organisation to bring our visual content to life through digital design, creating both static and video content across a variety of platforms. The majority of your work will be in video editing for social media, as well as supporting graphic design needs across social and digital needs.
This role will be instrumental in telling the story of our Prize, Finalists, and portfolio solutions, ensuring all content aligns with our brand standards. You’ll take briefs to deliver video content and digital graphics in a variety of formats based on fresh creative ideas and established design systems and guidelines. You’ll make sure all your work brings our brand and narrative to life, helping deliver content with incredible reach and high-quality storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
AV Digital Media:
• Collaborate with social media team to develop thumb-stopping social AV content
• Create compelling short-form video content (30-120 seconds) tailored for platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Produce engaging long-form video content (2-10 minutes) for YouTube.
• Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and captures audience attention quickly.
• Stay informed on the latest video specs and best practices across social media platforms to optimize content performance.
Static Digital Media:
• Interpret briefs from the social media team and collaborate internally to design eye-catching static content
• Ensure all static media, including thumbnails and other supportive assets, adhere to brand guidelines and enhance overall engagement.
• Work within provided templates while also suggesting improvements or additions to enhance content quality.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of content specifications and best practices across platforms including YouTube, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok
Internal Design Needs:
• Support Senior Designer across event collateral, hoardings, and campaign branding for various print items, ensuring they are visually appealing and consistent with our brand identity.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create presentation decks, reports, and other digital assets such as email signatures and media packs that meet internal communication needs.
Candidate Criteria:
• 3-5 years of experience in social media video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work across both video editing and graphic design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Figma, and familiarity with other design and editing tools.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their content specifications, both for static and video content.
• Ability to work within existing templates while also contributing creative ideas for improvement.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• To work on diverse projects, from social media content to print and internal communications.
