E3G is looking for a Policy Advisor to support the delivery of our work on the intersection of international trade & investment policy with climate change. This role would be based in E3G’s London office.

Overview
Based within the Clean Economy petal, which focuses on industry transition, trade and investment, this position will contribute to developing and delivering E3G’s work to drive climate action through trade and investment policy. The immediate focus of the role in 2026/2027 will be on reforming the international investment regime, based on investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) mechanisms, by combining thought leadership with political analysis and policy advocacy.
The successful candidate will lead E3G’s diplomatic engagement and coalition-building efforts to advance reform of the international investment regime. This will include shaping strategic priorities, leading analytical work, identifying priority opportunities for intervention, and managing relationships with key governments, civil society organisations and other stakeholders. The role will require a strong understanding of trade and investment policy, alongside a keen interest in climate and energy policies.
Over time, the successful candidate will also have opportunities to contribute to the broader priorities of E3G’s Trade & Investment team, helping to identify and develop new avenues for advancing climate action through international cooperation on trade and investment.
