Role summary

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to own the any-llm platform end to end, from product vision, strategy, and adoption to partnerships, pricing signals, and long-term platform economics.

This role is responsible not only for what we build, but for how the platform creates leverage: with users, providers, and partners. You will work closely with engineering, partnerships, and leadership to turn platform usage into durable value.

This is a platform ownership role, not a delivery-only PM role. At Mozilla.ai, everyone in Product and Engineering ships. With modern AI coding tools, pushing code, reviewing PRs, and owning technical quality is expected across the team, including PMs. This is a build-first environment where ownership includes requirements, implementation quality, and outcomes, not just coordination.

What you will own

• End-to-end ownership of the any-llm platform as a product
• Platform strategy, roadmap, and sequencing (adoption → control → monetization)
• Provider and partner-facing product surfaces, in collaboration with bizdev and partnerships
• Product inputs to pricing, packaging, and future revenue models
• Platform primitives that enable usage, cost control, governance, and observability

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering, users and partners to define and evolve the product vision for the platform, grounded in real usage and constraints
• Operate as a builder alongside engineers: review code, validate abstractions, and contribute when appropriate using modern AI-assisted development workflows
• Act as the counterpart to partners and providers (e.g. model hosts, cloud platforms)
• Collaborate with bizdev and leadership on partnership structure, incentives, and economics
• Shape pricing and monetization hypotheses based on product value and user behavior
• Work closely with engineering on APIs, abstractions, and technical tradeoffs
• Ensure the platform remains provider-agnostic while enabling differentiated value
• Instrument and analyze usage, cost, and adoption signals to guide decisions
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally on platforms, observability, infra, or developer tools
• Strong understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, and modern software architectures
• Comfort working with LLMs, model providers, or adjacent AI infrastructure (hands-on or product-side)
• Ability to reason about cost, usage, and incentives as product design inputs
• Clear, structured thinking and strong written communication
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and sequence decisions intentionally
• Willingness and ability to undertake international travel at least 2x per year

Nice to have

• Experience with usage-based or platform monetization models
• Exposure to enterprise governance, compliance, or security features
• Prior work in open source or open-core ecosystems
• Experience working with multi-provider or abstraction layers
