About the position

As Senior Manager, Community & Civic Engagement, you’ll maintain and strengthen our portfolio of 150+ nonprofits and manage our software platform that highlights multiple service projects 365 days a year. You will help recruit and deploy thousands of volunteers and recruit task leaders who will ensure projects run smoothly. Stellar organizational skills, the confidence to strengthen current and build new partnerships, and the ability to relate to diverse stakeholders are just a few skills you’ll bring to this role. In addition, you will support our signature events, including MLK Day and Hands On Atlanta Week. This role reports to the Director of Impact Programs.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Community Mobilization and Partnerships


Manage a portfolio of 150+ school, nonprofit, and government partners (including major partners like ACFB) with a focus on helping them recruit the volunteers they need to achieve their goals.
Help guide the strategy and direction of signature volunteer programs, including the Civic Leadership Program (CLP), Hands On Partnership Services (HOPS), and Hands On Hunger (HOH)


Program Supervision, Management, and Execution


Supervise and support a team of two direct reports, helping them grow professionally and achieve their goals
Lead the planning, execution and performance tracking across all volunteer programs (CLP, HOPS, and HOH)
Represent Hands On Atlanta in public forums and community events
Streamline and update data collection, metrics, and program evaluation


Communication and Advocacy


Partner with the marketing team to amplify community voices and drive volunteer recruitment through storytelling, social media, and events
Work closely with the Director of Development to secure funding and grow support for CCE programs
Partner with the Corporate Impact team to align nonprofit partner needs with corporate volunteer projects and signature events
Keep an eye on community needs and advocate for them, both internally and externally
