Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information.
Role Overview:
Grassroots Analytics is seeking a Vice President of Nonprofits to grow Grassroots Analytics into an industry leader - akin to the success we’ve had in the campaign sector - in delivering fundraising solutions for nonprofit organizations that share our progressive values. We’ve built a solid foundation and are looking for the right person to take GA’s impact in the nonprofits space to new heights. The role will evolve as Grassroots Analytics expands our SaaS offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive strategy to exponentially grow nonprofit revenue and market share.
- Work directly with senior leadership and across departments at Grassroots Analytics to secure resources and outcomes necessary to achieve nonprofit revenue goals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to deploy and track the effectiveness of paid marketing campaigns. Make data informed decisions on marketing budget spend after thoughtful experimentation.
- Establish a strong brand and voice that is consistent with GA’s presence in the campaign space but also speaks distinctly to and resonates with the nonprofit market.
- Assess market fit of current GA services and in collaboration with our digital, mail, and data team make improvements on an ongoing basis.
- Innovate on the old and bring to life completely new services and products that meet nonprofits’ evolving needs (they won’t all be successful, and that’s okay!).
- Manage and build a team with the varied skillsets necessary to achieve nonprofit revenue goals.
- Work closely with our product team as a nonprofits subject matter expert to bring a SaaS platform to the nonprofit market.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years working directly with or at a nonprofit. Preferably in a fundraising related capacity.
- 1+ year people management experience.
- Highly self motivated and excited to go where there is no roadmap.
- Experience with digital fundraising acquisition budgets. Both email acquisition and peer to peer texting acquisition are preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills to oversee multiple relationships and initiatives simultaneously.
- Enthusiasm for progressive politics, nonprofits, and meaningful causes.
Preference given to candidates with:
- Software sales experience for technology that serves the nonprofit market
- Demonstrated success in making sales and or solutions oriented innovation.
- Experience at other nonprofit technology companies.
Compensation will be a combination of a base salary, performance based bonus structure, and stock options. Projected all in compensation in the range of $125k - $225k. We offer 33 days of PTO + two days for every year with GA; 11 federal holidays; and full office closure between Christmas and New Year's.
