Editor– South Asia (India – Full time Remote)
The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking an experienced and talented Editor to support our India-based research team to produce high-quality, accurate, influential and timely content focusing on the energy and finance sectors. The Editor will oversee the publication process and team to support IEEFA’s impact in the energy transition to a zero-emissions future. This position is a remote work-based role and candidates may be located anywhere in India, preferably Delhi.
To be successful in the role, you will have outstanding editing and writing skills, exceptional attention to detail and a drive to support the analysts to deliver quality content within deadlines. You will be a self-starter, multitasker and strong problem-solver. You will also bring an outcome-driven focus to your work to deliver on IEEFA’s strategic impact goals and must possess a commitment to IEEFA’s mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable, and profitable energy economy.
You are expected to be self-motivated, be a multitasker, and work independently without continuous supervision. Working as part of a remote team in India, you’ll be expected to be able to communicate effectively with other members of the team over a variety of mediums (video calls, Slack, G-suite, ClickUp etc.), be comfortable with raising issues or questions along the way, and provide insights into your work.
IEEFA is a rapidly-growing NGO/ not-for-profit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets, trends, and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of 70+ analysts and communications personnel located in 15 countries across the globe. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy industries. Compensation and Benefits
Full-time 12-month fixed-term employment contract with the option of extension by mutual agreement and a market competitive remuneration.
Work Schedule
Full-time, 5 days/week with occasional evening or weekend work as required.
Travel
Some travel is required. All team members attend the international and regional team retreat.
Physical Demand and Work Environment.
Must be able to work for prolonged periods at a computer. Computer work can involve repetitive motion, eyestrain, back, and neck strain.
