The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Manager, Security Logistics Integration:
The Logistics Security Integration Manager will play a pivotal role in the design, planning, and integration of Games Logistics for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can work collaboratively with multiple functional areas (departments, government and public safety agencies, and a diverse set of stakeholders) to ensure the highest levels of security and operational efficiency during the Games. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills.
This position reports to the Director, Security Planning & Integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Integration: Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (law enforcement, emergency services, and private delivery partners and suppliers) to create unified and integrated security plans. Develop and integrate plans for Pre-Games Test Events with key stakeholders. Serve as the main point of contact/liaison for the LA28 Vendor Certification Program within the Safety & Security Department with key functional areas, delivery partner contacts, government/public safety agencies, as required.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Contribute to risk and warehouse assessments to identify vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and oversee implementation of approved security plans. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as international best practices for event security.
- Operational Coordination: Act as the primary representative of the Safety and Security Department, identify approved security guidelines, and monitor the adherence to the LA28 approved Security Operation Plan at logistics warehouses. Work closely with the USSS to develop supply chain security protocols, policies, and procedures. Manage the development of the Venue Certification Program and operationalize it at Games time.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between LA28 Security and Logistics, and other external stakeholders. Foster collaboration, teamwork and information-sharing. Manage relationships with external partners, including law enforcement agencies, regulatory entities, public safety organizations, and service providers.
- Project Management: Chair planning meetings or working groups, as assigned, to ensure timely delivery of milestones and deliverables. Complete regular status reports, draft and share meeting notes and agendas, and draft policy and procedure documents, as required.
Background & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a safety/security and/or logistics position in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in warehouse management, supply chain security planning, and event-based logistics planning.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and Esri ArcGIS.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- The position is in Los Angeles with in-person attendance required.
- The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
- During the planning phase, there will be occasional requirements to work may be a requirement for working hours outside of traditional business hours/days to support special events, travel, and the 2028 Games.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Emergency Management, or a related field work experience preferred.
- Certifications or specialized training in Project Management, Microsoft Office Suite tools, and/or Smartsheets preferred.
Expectations:
- Experience supporting logistics-related projects is preferred.
- Experience working with the federal, state, or local government is preferred.
- Experience in event planning or large-scale project management is preferred.
- Passion for sports, community engagement, or involvement in large-scale events.
Submission Requirements:
The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000-$105,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
