InnovateEDU is a national nonprofit focused on catalyzing education transformation by bridging gaps in data, policy, practice, and research to center the needs of the field in accelerating innovation towards an equitable, inclusive, and radically different future for all learners. InnovateEDU projects are organized under three portfolios: policy, technology, and sector capacity building.  

InnovateEDU is currently seeking a Project Associate to support the Sector and Capacity Building Portfolio. The Sector and Capacity Building Portfolio includes four projects: The Educating All Learners Alliance (EALA) Project, the Pathways Alliance, Data Whiz, and the Afterschool Program at Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School. The primary responsibilities will include supporting the EALA and Pathways projects, with minimal to no support for Afterschool and Data Whiz. This role will report directly to the Managing Director of the Sector and Capacity Building Portfolio.


About the Educating All Learners Alliance

The Educating All Learners Alliance (EALA) is a unique coalition of over 170 organizations dedicated to resource sharing and community building, supporting the efforts of the education community to meet the needs of all students, particularly those with disabilities. The Alliance represents voices from a diverse range of communities, including disability advocacy, parent, special education, civil rights, and K-12 nonprofit education organizations. EALA leads the development of a Resource Library, Tech Tool Library, webinars and podcasts, and community-based initiatives, showing a pathway to possible in the challenges and opportunities surrounding students with disabilities in K12 education.

About the Pathways Alliance

The Pathways Alliance, led by InnovateEDU, is an uncommon coalition of 80+ leading education organizations dedicated to supporting and implementing quality, sustainable educator preparation pipelines, including teacher residency programs and apprenticeships. Given shifts in education and school systems nationwide during the COVID-19 pandemic, now more than ever, effective, affordable, and sustainable education preparation programs and pathways are essential for teachers, schools, and students. We're working together to make this possible.


Responsibilities

  • Project and Administrative Support: Manage administrative tasks for the Project and the Managing Director. Support the execution of portfolio grant deliverables and manage contact databases using Salesforce. Manage project documentation, organize meetings, and facilitate communication channels to streamline collaboration and information sharing across the Alliances.
  • Communication and Content Development: Assist with the development of project communications, including newsletters and social media content. You will also support the creation of reports, case studies, slides and presentations, webinars, and other multimedia, and manage content updates for project websites.  Assist in drafting reports, policy briefs, and presentations to communicate project findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholder groups.  Conduct desktop research and analysis on emerging trends and policy landscapes.
  • Event and Meeting Logistics: Support the planning and logistics for all project meetings and events, such as steering committees, working groups, and in-person events. This includes preparing materials, such as slide decks, and managing scheduling and staffing. 
  • Social Media and Communication: Lead social media content posting across the portfolio; Lead newsletter development across the portfolio; Manage content updates across the portfolio project sites with assistance from Marketing and Communications.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners, including educators, policymakers, and partners, to ensure project milestones are met on schedule.
  • Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

We use a third-party service to determine a fair market rate for this role based on your skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is annually $48,000-$55,000.  The position may require up to 10% travel in the United States.
